WHO WE ARE

We take a unique, personalised approach to education, aiming to build your child’s confidence, inspire new ideas and empower kids to accelerate their own learning.

Our process:

1.

Identify

First, we identify the areas of need and focus for each student. We get to know your child, their level of education and development, and identify any gaps to best understand where they require support.

At Think Tutors we take a three step approach to supporting our students to reach their full potential.

2.

Develop

Secondly, we create personalised learning plans that address each student's unique needs, incorporating their personality and preferred learning style. This tailored approach is especially valuable for neurodiverse students, as we believe in adapting our teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and help all students achieve their goals.

3.

Action

Thirdly, we are dedicated to supporting all students in achieving their goals by providing the necessary tutoring and coaching.

Our personalised approach allows your child to learn at their own speed, in their own way, empowering them to take charge of their education. This commitment ensures that our goal of making learning a positive, enjoyable experience extends to students of all ages, fostering inclusivity and success.

MORE ABOUT US

Meet Katie

I’m Katie Lachal, founder of Think Tutors with over 15 years teaching experience.

Having studied extensively including a Business Degree from Australian Catholic University, a Masters in Teaching from University of Melbourne and a specialist qualification from Harvard University, I’m highly qualified to help students gain confidence and obtain the varied skills they need to learn effectively.

In 2021, during my maternity leave, I founded Think Tutors after recognising a significant gap in education for children who were falling behind during the pandemic. I also observed the diversity in student learning and identified the potential gap that could widen without additional support to facilitate independent learning. Since then, I have diligently expanded the business to include both primary and secondary qualified tutors. Our goal is to cater to the specific needs of students requiring specialised and personalised tutoring, ensuring a more comprehensive approach to education.

Outside of work, you can find me spending time with my husband Kirk and two sons, Freddie and Henry!

Meet Jacqui Halpin - Co-owner of Think Tutors

I am a passionate primary school teacher with over 15 years experience in the classroom. After completing a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Teaching, I have worked in both private and public schools, gaining a broad range of experience. I have worked with Think Tutors since it first began in 2021, tutoring students from preschool to secondary level.

Through my experience, I have developed a commitment to creating a positive and supporting learning environment. I firmly believe that happy and confident children often find success.

Beyond teaching, you can find me spending time with my family, including my 3 children. I enjoy the outdoors, particularly the beautiful beaches in Perth.
